My interpretation of a Brighids cross or sunwheel. Brighid was the Daughter of The Daghda and Celtic Goddess of many things including fire, thresholds, transformation, the arts, smiths and healers. She was eventually absorbed by the catholic church and became St Brigid of Kildare.
These were made on Imbolc (1st or 2nd February, depending on who you ask!) and placed over the doorway for protection and to ensure prosperity for the coming year. These are also great to hang in your car or even just placed on your altar for Imbolc. Traditionally made with reeds or straw, I have hand crocheted and woven mine from 100% cotton yarn.
Handmade so size can vary a little, but should be approximately 7.5 cm diameter.
Can be finished with 3 different colours of bow, straw, green or red, just choose preferred one from the options. Comes with a little command brand hook for hanging.
